Girl in green
This magic wave I feel within me;
When I look at the picture of you.
As if whole world stopped for me;
I am lost and I don’t have a clue.
Those black pearl eyes of you;
Staring through the picture screen.
The shining thin body of you;
Wrapped around the bottle green.
The silent cute lips of you;
Convey a message of love to me.
The earings not far behind;
Nicely hanging long and free.
The thick hair falling in front;
Trying to make its presence felt.
Covering over the eyebrow end;
Just sums up the cute yourself.

I heard a "YES"
It’s like a feeling I can’t explain;
Like a heartbeat; I can’t restrain
Like heavens opened up on me;
Like a nested bird just set free.
All of sudden, I have the powers;
I imagine myself on a bed of flowers.
Your smile is worth a million dollars;
Like all is simple; there are no miracles.
I feel like jumping up and down;
Like the craziest boy in the town.
Tremor of happiness I feel within me;
This incredible joy and ferocious glee.
Like a current which passes through me;
When I hear your voice so sweet.
It’s a journey now I want to commence;
My happiness now has no bounds no ends.

I am sorry my love
I had all that I prayed, but I gave it away,
I am sorry my love, I just couldn’t hold on to you.
It hurt me a lot, and I was losing the plot,
I was searching for ways; I should have just gone to you.
I was ruing my sin, and was boiling within,
I regret it o’ dear, for lashing it on to you.
In the good old days, we were inseparable mates,
But now all has changed; I am just another man to you.
I was losing my mind, while listening your whines,
I could only despise, the doubts that were born to you.
You got sillier with time, the one who was never mine,
I tried to hold on; in the end I just lost to you.
You never looked back, you were miles ahead,
I tried to catch up, but I couldn’t run out to you.
I don’t really ask, for you to come back,
I walked many miles, for making across to you.
I’ll try to move on, now that you are gone,
I am sorry my love, I just couldn’t hold on to you.
One liners
The doors of opportunities have no keyholes to unlock; they must be knocked down.
There is a very thin line between frienship and love. Crossing over the first does not qualify you as the victor.
Happiness and success are two different things. Some people find happiness in success while some find success in happiness. Never mind the rest.
Whenever I blame others for my failures; it always clicks to me that my present situation is nothing but a manifestation of the cumulative effects of my own deeds in the past.

How I met your mother-Must watch
This show has to be one of the greatest sitcoms ever. The reason why I am writing about this great American comedy show here is that I cannot have enough of it. It is an amazing piece of direction and comedy which revolves around some of the very fundamental aspects of human life like relationships, commitments, goals, having fun, friendship, quarrels, achievements, happiness, love, affection, break-ups, reconciliation, partying, making mistakes, feeling sorry, but above all being there for each other no matter what, even if it means going through phases where you seem to lose it altogether only to discover that it was a minor scare in a never ending relationship.
The show typifies brilliant situational comedy along with a lot of catchy life changing quotes enunciated especially by Barney who turns out to be my favorite character in the show. Ted and Robin who have been through so many ups and downs in their relationship still manage to co-exist in unity, a situation rarely possible in real life. The humor created by a concoction of crazy sequences along with curiosity regarding who eventually will be the mother of Ted’s children is unparalleled. It just goes to show that life sometimes cannot be perfect and moreover we should never try to make it perfect. We will always end up making mistakes and digging a hole for ourselves sometimes but as long as we understand that imperfections are a part and parcel of life and we are just a living soul destined to witness them, we will start to enjoy them. Lilly and Marshal in the show are great examples of this. Lilly abandoned a 9 year old relationship with Marshal for some stupid desire of hers but made up for it soon, they spent their entire life savings buying an apartment only to learn that it was crooked and many more such situations occurred but there never was a dull moment in their lives and they found happiness in every adversity and it was this quality of theirs which got them through everything. They would share each situation with their friends and find a solution eventually which they call as “taking to the group”. They even once helped Barney to help find the women who was bugging him constantly remembering situations which involved Ted and Robin with Barney on a sketch board which was stolen from Lilly’s kindergarten class by Marshal. Now this epitomizes craziness for sure. The enigma created by director is simply unprecedented and unique. For Ted to do a ‘Rain dance’ to make it rain and prevent Robin going for a date with someone else was simply awesome. Nothing is impossible, really. Ted even sold his newly bought car to help Marshal pay a debt. These are some of the highlights of the show interlinked with brilliant moments of laughter and mini flashbacks which tend to intrigue you even more as Ted narrates to his children his story about how he met his wife and what eventually transpired in his life. He remembers that even though Marshal was his best friend , Barney (portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris) although incredibly crazy also always tried to be his best ‘wingman- as they call it in the show’ or best supporter. He realizes that there is nothing called as ‘best’ or ‘better’ in friendship; it is just that there are ‘best’ or ‘better’ situations, sometimes worst. Ted remembers when he was about to date the most perfect women he had ever imagined but aborted at the last minute as he realized that the more he tried to perfect his life, the more he screwed it up. He discovered that there was an inexplicable fun in making mistakes because the thing about mistakes is that you don’t know them until they are made. Ted missed the flight to his dream job as he went to pull Barney off a train where he was stranded only to be caught by cops. He could look at it as a mistake and rue it for life or he could just let it go and think of it as just another incidence in his life. He chose the latter. As it turned out, if he would have boarded the flight and if Barney would not have been in trouble, he would have never met his wife. So it wasn’t a mistake after all.

I'll never stop loving you
I just came around, to your place downtown;
Elated and mirthful, like a jubilant clown.
I just couldn’t resist; couldn’t hold my wish;
For a glimpse of you, and a quiet tryst.
Thinking of you always, I travelled my way;
I just live for you; I can dare say.
Didn’t tell you that; couldn’t let you know;
This desire of mine, couldn’t let it go.
Just moments away, I am saying it true;
When I blinked my eyes; I saw just you.
When I found you there, right in the place;
I froze I swear; left in the daze.
Had a clash in the brain, and a loss of health;
When I saw you there, with someone else.
You didn’t see me there; I lost my feet;
It struck me hard, like a shock defeat.
Why did you do this? I always loved you;
Not a sign of warning, or a roughed clue.
Taking on the chin, I walked away in pain;
And never would I ask for you to explain.
All I want to say is ‘spare a thought for me’;
I am a lost sailor now; in the stormy sea.
Amidst the winds, when I go through;
I can lose myself, but will never stop loving you.

The 'plane' analogy
I was at the airport the other day for a long halt on the way to Mumbai. Long halts at the airports can be tiring and can test your patience. On the other hand, it almost seems like this mini-world where everything is going on smoothly without any hassles. It’s this perfect world which we always wish the outside world could be. There are restaurants, walkways, money exchanges, waiting rooms, internet services, medical services etc. Yet there are things which are distinctively different from the outside world though or may I say the absence of them. No separate homes, traffic, terror, pollution or ghettoization. Now is that a negative??
Sometimes I kind of get lost in this world as if everyone is living under one umbrella and is so content by this fact. Why couldn’t our world be like that? Everyone I could see around was hopeful of something. There is a lot of positivity around. Why can’t we replicate the same outside?
I saw a father waiting to see his daughter, a couple embarking on a journey for holidays, some people thrilled as it’s their first flight ever and not to mention mother’s tears when her son is leaving abroad for studies. I realized that hope and love is really what binds us all. The materialistic comfort and the sumptuousness don’t matter to us as long as we are close to our loved ones. We value the core principles of life more than anything else and are ready to face and grapple the exterior inhabitation with respect to this miniature world of luxuries. Cheers to humanity!
For the complete journey, I was in this surreal world I had imagined and was enjoying it. Suddenly there was this announcement that the flight had reached Mumbai. A lovely song started playing “Yeh Rishta kya kehlata hain……”. There it was, Mumbai beckoning. I felt an instant nostalgia and couldn’t resist rushing out and feeling the sense of belongingness to my mother country India. It’s always a great feeling to be back home. I also saw an advertisement caption showing “Welcome to the real world”.
I think the journey in a plane is like a journey in life. There are no stops in between. Only life and death or departure and arrival. The difference being that we are the pilots of our own plane of life. We have to judge the correct path which will lead us to a meaningful and safe journey. There will always be cloud of difficulties and turbulences every now and then. We must have the wings of high spirit to keep us aloft; the hidden wheels of wisdom which run on smooth runways of perseverance to ensure safe landing in every destination or milestone. The windows of opportunities can only show the world to us and then it is up to us whether to close the lid on them or just face it. Hard work and belief is the essential fuel to realize the speed and direction of success. There is no other substitute discovered yet. Sometimes we fly on high altitudes and sometimes low. But hey, it doesn’t matter, as long as we keep flying and in our heart we know that we will make it after enduring all the lightnings of hardships and challenges and there is no reason for us not to find out that SKY IS THE LIMIT.

Players' interview after the T20 world cup loss
After the T20 world cup debacle, the Indian players were interviewed for their poor showing. This is what they had to say for their self-defense.
Gautam Gambhir : (In a very “Gambhir mood”) Well it’s none of my fault . The kind of bouncers I faced; I never get to face in India. If they had pitched the ball up, I could have made runs but they didn’t. Gary Kirsten did not teach me how to play bouncers. He is a left hander himself. I can only play well with Sehwag as my partner. He guides me well. We have also spent endless times together lying on lawns in the sunshine adoring “Karbon mobiles” and cuddling each other.
Murali Vijay: (Perplexed) I more than made up for Sehwag’s absence. If you look at the statistics of his previous ten T20 innings ; I was better than him .
Suresh Raina: (Relieved) I was one of the highest run getters in the IPL. The money is in the bag; who cares for international T 20 tournaments. Show me the money. I have made enough money in the IPL to last me another 10 years. It was a nice picnic though. Boys had nice swimming sessions with hot babes after every match.
Rohit Sharma : (Cool as a cucumber) What can I do if the umpire gives me out when the ball hits my elbow. I could have saved India the blushes if the "dancing Billy" had concentrated. Please have patience with me. They call me “The next Tendulkar”. I have not been picked for the test and one day team. Looking forward to the next IPL.
Yuvraj Singh : (Looks of disdain) Well I understand people criticizing me because I didn’t score any runs. But who else did???. I was in the same boat. Plus they kept fielders wherever I hit the ball. I also tried to scare the opposition with contemptuous looks on my face but it didn’t work. On the contrary I was made to look like a fool on some of my shots. I missed Preety badly. The French beard was her idea.
Yusuf Pathan: (Scratching his beard) Well don’t see me as a batsman who bowls. I was never a batsman. It’s the fault of the media and the authorities to call me a batsman. I will play as an off spinner who bowls straight leg breaks for India from now on.
Mahendra singh Dhoni : (Proudly) Well ,of course , I take the blame for the poor performance of India. But I have been given a poor side to work with. Look at the Australians; I wish I was the captain of Australia. I think 4 foreigners should be allowed into the Indian team like the IPL. This change will revive Indian cricket.
Ravindra Jadeja : (Hiding his face) I would prefer not to speak to the media. I am keeping my mouth shut.
Zaheer khan : (Tired look) I bowled well in the death overs with attempted yorkers. I am not a robot to bowl six yorkers consistently. It takes a lot out of me. They make me look like a fast bowler but actually I have never taken more than 2 strides run up in practice. I am better off as a spinner who bowls seam up. I need at least 1 year rest now.
Harbhajan Singh : (The usual smile) Well , I think I bowled well. The tactic of putting a little bit of Bhangra at the start of my action has worked for me. Also planning to add a Punjabi version of the somersault in near future.
Ashish Nehra : (Very Very angrily) Damn!!!Look at me; just look at me . Do I even look like a fast bowler! I think fast bowlers in India are like considerate politicians. They are nonexistent. I will also make a special appeal to ICC to organize World cup every year for “Oongli cricket”. I can bowl at 150 km/hr then.

SAVE THE EARTH
We are lucky to have a beautiful giant habitation called Earth. Man implemented his intelligence and ingenuity to dig out, deforest, reconstruct and manipulate the earth into a planet full of skyscrapers, nuclear centers, arms and concrete roads which is wonderful from the point of view of technological advancement and sheer brilliance of mankind. Although we have managed to unravel the mysteries of this universe and construct an imposing residence for ourselves; the fact remains that we are still at the mercy of ‘Mother Earth’ if we want to continue living peacefully and uninterrupted for many years to come.
The do’s and don’ts in our everyday life to support the green cause are well known to all of us. It’s just a question of implementing religiously and ensuring a safe haven for our next generations. The government plays a key role in making laws and regulations for the citizens to follow. There is no way to measure or monitor whether we are really reducing the wastage from our households (My dustbin is full everyday); turning off the lights of unoccupied rooms (sometimes I forget); reducing water consumption (I like to have a long shower); reducing tissue paper consumption ( haven’t spent even a single day without them) and so on. We must be true to ourselves and wholeheartedly seize each and every opportunity to reduce wastage. We must take the onus for protecting our planet against possible extinction of resources in the future. It is as much a responsibility of every citizen as it is of the government and the authorities.
We need a breakthrough invention in technology also to help the green cause. Renewable energy resources should be used in as many operations as possible. A solar car can go a long way in establishing measures to reduce gasoline consumption. Experiments have proved that a solar car ( car which works on sunlight) , although may not match the speed and power of gasoline or diesel cars , still can be used as a supplementary source of transport while commuting and driving short distances. Of course it won’t be as thrilling an experience as is with modern day diesel cars but losing valuable fossil fuels in future won’t be thrilling either. Anyway we waste a lot of gasoline on traffic signals particularly in big cities. Tropical countries should use solar energy to the maximum extent possible through devices like solar heater, solar cooker etc. The temperature scales are rising each year which can be used as an advantage for us.
Employees can display green tips on their desks or company logos can carry a green tip apart from the usual advertising caption. Mass awareness is the key to confront this issue effectively. Sometimes we are aware but don’t do anything about it. For example, keeping the computer on standby mode rather than shut down (Standby mode consumes some power) or taking a business trip instead of resolving issues over video conferencing (unnecessary travel). These are the kind of tips we can spread instead of buying T-shirts with fancy catchwords which are inconsequential anyways. The panic button is not switched yet but humankind has known that nature can spring a surprise on us at any point of time and we must be prepared for it. The petroleum products are getting costlier by the day which is related with the number of people using it which in turn relates to core issues of education and social awareness. The only way forward is to use renewable energy resources as much as possible and cut down on the demand for fossil fuels, electricity, water and other forms of energy. Let’s not be selfish and save the generations to come from the blues, quite literally, because the Earth is “mostly blue in color” and we certainly don’t want the Earth to become “all blue in color”.

Friends for life
When life goes wrong; as it may;
Comes to the fore, when things are astray.
A friend is the one, who has his way;
The glorious way, where the smiles would lay.
Able to listen, the words untold;
For innocent mistakes, he’s there to scold.
Able to see, deep into your heart;
Reads your moves; he has the art.
Able to smell, the fragrance of love;
And lift the drowned spirits above.
Able to feel, your vibes of bliss;
When you search for souls; he’s there amidst.
Able to taste, the essence of friendship;
The architect of life; the way it is.
Inseparable souls, we are today,
It’s only love, no fight or fray;
To grow, prosper, we shall pray;
The friends for life, would never sway.
It's like happiness
It’s like a feeling I can’t explain
Like a heartbeat; I can't restrain
Like heavens opened up on me;
Like a nested bird just set free.
All of sudden, I have all the powers;
I imagine myself on a bed of flowers.
Your smile is worth a million dollars;
Like all is simple; there are no miracles.
I feel like jumping up and down;
Like the craziest boy in the town.
Tremor of happiness I feel within me;
This incredible joy and ferocious glee.
Like a current which passes through me;
When I hear your voice so sweet.
It’s a journey I dearly want to commence;
My happiness now has no bounds no ends.
This day of the year-Thank u GOD
This day of the year, I see the might;
As the dreaded fear runs out of sight.
On the valleys of life so widely spread;
Through the width and every breadth.
I can’t believe the feeling I get;
Up on the crest, it feels so right.
Cool air blows by the ear;
Freshness of your innocent soul.
I can feel it on my skin so near;
Here up on the peak in the snow.
For all the good reasons, I vow;
Every inch of the way, I will fight.
Standing midst the serene skies;
Symbols of my endless love.
Waiting for the clouds to clear;
With the mountain birds flying by.
I feel u here, I feel u near;
Everything’s turning dull to bright.
If only it can continue with time;
This came as a blessing of god.
For its God only who can define;
The rationale and the gist of all.
The way u touch my heart o’ dear;
Thank u god, for this gift of mine.

LIFE GOES ON
On a buzzing evening at CST, life seemed normal. People flocking in and out of dogging local trains, commuters thronging the ticket lines as if nectar was being doled out and not tickets.
Small town boy with his father came to Mumbai to get admission in a Medical college. The boy had dreamt to be a doctor all his life. His mother had passed away when he was 2 years old. Since then his father was the only figure he could look up to and derive motivation out of. His father shared the dream of his son and was determined to see him through all the financial and emotional challenges on the way. This little boy had worked hard to get through the selection process and was never ever going to let his father down.
Coming to Mumbai for the first time, they were nervous and excited at the same time. They got down the train and witnessed such a crowded place for the first time, trying to get out of the station before they get lost in the crowd. The boy had never spent a day without his father till then and was incredibly attached emotionally to him.
Suddenly there was chaos in the crowd with the noise of gunning shots coming from the background. Two armed men appeared with guns blasting away at the crowd. Turning hysterical, the father-son duo ran for cover. Just before they could react, a bullet had already slit though his father’s body. The boy was shell-shocked and benumbed. His father was down with blood seeping out of his body. He shouted and cried for help but to no avail. His father was dead. A brutal reality drowning all his dreams into the waters of inevitability. Helpless and distraught he could barely sense anything around him as he saw several such bodies lying around messed up in blood. Life had turned its face on him before he could embark on to his journey of dreams.
After 1.5 years, the debate is still on whether the person who brutally gunned down so many innocent people should be hanged or not. If only this question was asked to this boy who lost his father that day, the answer would have been clear and unequivocal.
The boy is pursuing his medical degree today under a scholarship but deep within his heart is an inexplicable grief and broken heartedness coupled with painful laments. Only he knows how he derives motivation to continue with his life only to rue that incident when he lost his father. Tragic things happen in life with unbearable incidences that make you feel hard done by; one wonders how on earth still LIFE GOES ON!!!

Tharoor vs Modi(Resisted a lot but couldn't help posting it)
Welcome to the “Controversy of the year”;
As it overshadowed the Naxal fear.
Lalit Modi had a high-sailing season;
The IPL chief then found derision.
IPL franchisee being added next year;
But the story shifted to a different gear.
Tharoor- the minister of external affairs;
He may be the “Holy Father”; who cares!!.
Tharoor helped ‘Rendezvous’ to the Bid;
Buying Kochi franchisee is what they did.
Now the issue was controversy stricken;
When Lalit Modi tweeted this in open.
Sunanda Pushkar entered the scene;
With 5 % stake , she was the queen.
Close pal of Tharoor as it would seem,
One wonders where she had been.
Tharoor alleged Modi for revealing;
Modi retorted “ That’s what we are dealing!!”
BJP wanted Tharoor to step down,
Tharoor refused to give up the crown.
Narendra Modi supporting Lalit ;
A political gimmick, u may call it.
As if two Modis were not enough;
Sharad Power then entered the club.
Hope thwarted and spirits subdued;
Public is sick of this simmering feud.
The Media is frenzied and going gaga;
Having tested our patience on Sania-Shoaib saga.
What is the logic and where is then sanity;
Energy and effort both drowned in vanity.
Congress party suspecting impropriety;
Dr. Manmohan being the political deity.
Even he never imagined this thing;
That this IPL would one day affect him!!!
Just when u think u’ve heard the latest,
A twist in the episode;perceptions flexed.
Modi suspended , Tharoor resigns;
A bitter experience of equal kind.
As Chirayu Amin glazes the glitter;
Modi wishes he had never joined "Twitter".

The moon
Like a mole on the cheek of the earth, so bright;
Cares for the brightness dearth, in the night.
Companions a plenty; millions of stars;
Would never miss the show, after twilight hours.
Guarding the earth, when it rests in peace;
Foiling the fun, when the worlds in sleep.
She’s there for you; she’s there to stay;
Would run with you; if even you run away.
Messenger of god, she’s the angels soul;
To witness the calmness; hear the stories told.
Behaves like human, in so many ways;
Loves turning up different; so willful to change.
Cunning n mischievous has the traits alright.
When needs a holiday; disappears for the night.
Holding forth; the struggles till dawn;
Never cease to believe, till the battle is won.
The strenuous effort, that she truly begun;
Never forgets the end; where she passes the mettle to the sun.

A cute story
Hetal and I are great friends and have been colleagues since many years now. We left our home country for jobs. Hetal got married back home while I was still a bachelor then .Time passed very quickly. One day he was back from holidays and was sharing with me the experiences with his infant daughter Bhavya. He would share his fatherhood experiences with me and I never felt the same exceptional emotions he showed while describing Bhavya. He was happier talking about her than any other topic. He was not the same before she came into this world. He seemed a changed person and I liked him that way. He brought his family along with him a year later and we became neighbors. Bhavya was 20 months old then.
Hetal often visited my house with Bhavya. She was the center of attraction as kids always are. She started liking the visits after her initial resistance to meet strange people.She would babble my name hesitantly and that cute enlightening kiddie smile which followed was so adorable. Slowly but surely she discovered a comfort zone around.
Hetal was happy to see me witness the experience he always talked about. I found friendship with Bhavya and she was the most beautiful kid I saw. I would play with her and teach her certain things.
She was a very insistent child. She would pull my hair, mess with the things, spill over liquids and all sorts of crazy things kids do. I love her so much. We were always trying to teach her certain things like holding a pen, draw a smiley etc.
I would take out two pens from my bag; hand over one to her and try to teach her how to write. She would scribble the paper and draw crooked lines crossing well beyond the range of the paper. Next day she would sternly want the same two pens from the bag and it was the same old story. One fine day Bhavya held my hand and looked at me. It was the most wonderful feeling. She led to the same bag and took out the pens herself and gave one to me. She started scribbling as always but I couldn’t concentrate because something had struck me pleasantly. That feeling when she took my hand and wanted me to be with her and teach her like everyday really touched me from within. It was as if a baby angel was walking with me. Her soft little hands and the way she looked at me. As if all the innocence in the world had gathered at that place and she was the only thing I could see. I described to Hetal how special I felt that day and that I would not forget that day ever.
I remembered my father who would mention to me sometimes how stupid little things I did during childhood and that experience meant so much for him. We never see our parents as children but they remember the look of our face and each expression and behavior from the beginning and that is how they can see the child within us no matter how old we get.

IPL future(Sorry,no sponsor for this article)
First and foremost, let me confess that I am a cricket fanatic and haven’t missed watching (either highlights or full) even a single IPL game this year. Here are some observations made about this year’s IPL. The six has become “DLF maximum”; catch is now “Karbonn kamal catch”; wicket is “City moment of success” and the drinks break as the “Max mobile time out”, phew!!! Now that’s cool because it’s just another innovative way of advertising. But here’s a little look into what might happen in the future if it continues.
MUMBAI INDIANS vs. KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS
At the Toss:
Ravi Shastri: “Gentlemen, the Tommy Hilfiger time is up. Now time for the ICICI coin toss.”
Saurav Ganguly shouts “Pepsi” as heads. The coin comes down; Ravi Shastri picks up and says to Saurav “Sorry mate it’s Coca Cola. You have lost the toss.”
Ravi Shastri to Sachin: “Congratulations to you for winning the ICICI coin toss. Now you have a Kodak smile on your face. What have you decided?”
Sachin: “We are going to bat first. There is a nice Kelvinator breeze blowing across the ground. Hoping to put a decent D Cold total on the board and restrict them later. “
Match commentary:
Ravi Shastri: “Sunil, I think it’s an Intel intelligent decision to bat first today. I think the Mumbai Indians will win today. What are your ThinkPad thoughts?”
Sunil Gavaskar: “Yes Ravi, I agree with u. The Adidas running between the wickets has certainly improved for the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders are under tremendous Hawkins pressure now. They will have to play Bisleri safe cricket and keep HDFC life wickets in hand towards the end. But Ganguly’s Lifebuoy men are a Birla Cement super strong team so definitely they can overcome this………. and that’s a Castrol clean strike by Ganguly. What a shot!!!!! Wonderful Nokia connection with the bat. All along the Kurl-on carpet and into the boundary.”
At the presentation ceremony:
Ravi Shastri: “Saurav, welcome to the post match Lijjat papad interview. Now you will have to pull your Jockey socks up after this loss.”
Saurav Ganguly: “Yes u r right Ravi; we played poor cricket. Our team needs some Zandu Balm all rounders now. Players need to play some Bournvita shots in the next game. We certainly have to plan our Nerolac future now.”
Hindi commentary:
Arun lal: Atul; Aaj Kolkata Knight Riders ki Nirma dhulayi hui hain. Aapka kya khayal hain.
Atul Wassan: Bilkul sahi farmaya aapne. Yeh apne shots main Titan ki timing nahi de paa rahe hain. Bade hi Hajmola shots khele hain inhone aaj. Saare batsman Mortein ki tarah dher ho gaye.

GAME , SET & MATCH!!
Sania-Shoaib marriage news has been going around for a while now. Really it’s hard to imagine a cross border marriage where one is a struggling cricket player (former captain) and the other arguably one of the most inspirational women sports personalities India has ever produced. Both successful sports figures though in their own right.
Shoaib won the toss and elected to bat on a tricky Hyderabadi pitch. Sania meanwhile was playing cat and mouse Grand Slam match with the media with a full house of “nothing-else-to-do-so-watching-the-match” kind of audience. Sania started the match with a perfect ace making her intentions clear that she wanted none other than Shoaib Malik as her mixed doubles partner. The audience was absolutely stunned as this serve came at the speed of million miles per hour. The match was on and no one in the audience was ready to leave the seat with their eyes firmly rooted to Sania.
Shoaib was going great guns but the turning point in the match was the introduction of Ayesha Siddiqui in the bowling attack. After a long run up she bowled a perfect FIR delivery and appealed for LBW. Shoaib was found plumb in front of the stumps. The police umpire sustained Ayesha Siddiqui’s appeal for LBW and Shoaib was soon shown the pavilion door by Ayesha’s googly. The only option left for Shoaib now was to come back in the second innings and hit a century and win Sania as the Man of the watch award. But it wasn’t going to be easy as Ayesha was in too good a form and was bowling well in the death overs with perfect yorkers. Ayesha’s appeal in the second innings had to be referred to the third umpire sitting in the court pavilion. He pressed the green light to give Shoaib another life. However, Ayesha was found guilty of overstepping and bowling wides several times and finally she was fined for a slow over rate and eventually out of attack as Shoaib heaved a sigh of relief and asked for a drinks break. Shoaib was tired and even asked for a runner but sadly it was overturned by the police umpire. He came out all guns blazing after the drinks break. The running between the Hyderabadi wickets had improved for Shoaib immensely.
He was now taking question bouncers from the media on the full and hitting them for sixes. This would have been a DLF maximum if he was playing in the IPL and certainly a city moment of success for Sania and Shoaib. It was a perfect match with Sania winning the first set and Shoaib was dealing in fours and sixes.
Sania meanwhile was busy tossing volleys and she outsmarted the opposition with her strong backhand. She was running through the court with great energy and defiance. She wasn’t going to make any unforced errors this time. It was advantage Sania in the final game and the match point was well within her grasp. Between games she kept talking to her daddy coach about the match strategy and he had only one advice for her daughter which was to finish the match in this game itself otherwise there were a lot of keen audience members who would intrude the court and pounce on her. Shoaib overcame the nervous nineties and finally hit a six of the final ball to win the match for her princess. He was ecstatic and over the moon but deep down he hoped that Ayesha wouldn’t be a part of the presentation ceremony. He had finally won it for her princess and there it was GAME, SET & MATCH.

Dil hain Chotta sa; Chotti si aasha
I am sure all of us remember this beautiful song “Dil hain chota sa”. I think this song has a deeper meaning into our lives suggesting that we all have hearts which desires certain things in life. Of course we all have big dreams of our own but those small little things have their own importance. Things like passing a test and letting parents know about it, receiving calls on birthdays, having a dinner with a close friend, meeting a friend after a long time and talking for hours, taking a peep on your crush(looking for ways to talk to that person) ; exchanging mobile numbers with the person you like and then spending the night imagining all the wonderful things that may follow and so on. All those small little things we derive happiness in which happen every now and then in our lives really make a difference. Of course we have the bigger picture in mind like owning your dream house some day or may be some other dream close to our heart. It’s just as important to enjoy the journey to our dreams as enjoying the destination itself. One always finds the pebbles on the road to the mountain. So, it’s equally important to give the pebble its due . Otherwise small little pebbles hurting on the way may inflict a cumulative pain on the way and we may never reach the mountain at all.
"Koyal ki tarah gaane ka armaan
Bijli ki tarah machloon ye armaan"
A beautiful line which signifies freedom to sing like a bird and express like lightning. We enjoy the same freedom in our lives but sometimes we are so caught up in the corporate world that a professional sense of decorum comes to the fore and the natural freedom and instincts take a back seat. We try to present ourselves as individuals bound by the rules and regulations and tend to neglect the small things which make us happy. Happiness is such a relative term though. Someone may find happiness in saving money but for some they only wish if they had money. Someone may be very happy because his son achieved what he always dreamt of but someone may not have senses at all to be happy because he lost them after his son never came back from a war. Happiness spreads like an epidemic and even small little moment of joy or expression of freedom can instigate a positive wave which may travel miles, who knows.

The beautiful rain
There's a magic waved on Earth's Premise;
When God decides to speak the nature's voice.
Millions of droplets falling ever so steadily;
I wonder how he distributes equally.
Solacing the planet , soothing the pain;
The nature at its best;We call it RAIN!!
Own mysterious ways nature has got;
To enlighten life ; end all draughts.
The showers of blessings, they unite together;
Creating a sight of greatest pleasure.
The fall of stream from heights above;
Signify the might; the God's awe.
Pure ,serene, beautiful as it might;
Might be a carrier for god's wish to express delight.
